I am a graduate student at the University of Maryland with an expectation of completing a Ph.D. in International Education and Policy. My degree emphasis integrates Environmental Education and ethical principles from Deep Ecology within formal school systems in Sub-Saharan Africa. Study of systems using quantitative or qualitative means enriches my appreciation for diversity as well as links between thoughts and their expressions in the biosphere. I strongly believe that a grounded understanding of one's orientation within the natural world impacts how one chooses to apply environmentally sustainable decisions that will impact the wellbeing of our planet. Group relations theory enables me to understand how people discover their voice among the chorus of emerging issues and demands resulting from changes to our natural world.
