Dr. Elaine Goldberg
Elaine Goldberg is thrilled to be working on staff as part of the Explorations in Leadership conference under the auspices of an outstanding conference leadership and consulting team. She has been working for many years as part of large organizational structures, which include hospital, inpatient and outpatient medical and psychiatric settings. In her present role, she works as a clinical psychologist with complex care patients and their families and Children’s National Medical Center. Previously she worked as a psychologist in outpatient psychiatric settings in the District of Columbia. She started out her career as an art therapist and director of the art therapy department at St. Elizabeth's Hospital under the US Dept of HHS. Dr. Goldberg also enjoys having a solo private practice as well, where her focus is to alleviate depression and anxiety in adults as well as with children and adolescents. Much of her time is devoted to working closely with families to helping parents facilitate positive behavioral change in their children through behavioral contracts, empathy training, and helping parents respond effectively to their children’s developmental needs.
